sooooo

i grew up with well water. there was no need to conserve.
how ever many gallons it was pumpin per minute = how ever much water we could use... and it was always more than enough!
except when mom accidently left the hose on, and ran the water tank dry! hehe.

so... i hear all this water conservation stuff now, and ..
..im doing my best to turn off the sink when i brush my teeth.. but.. old habits die young i tell ya.. (hey! i finally FINALLY stopped leaving my car keys in my ignition in the driveway)
but my question is..
what do i do with all the water in the shower while i wait for it to get warm? i watch the water go down down down.. and think, crap, if there really is a water issue here ( i mean, besides the water bill), should i be putting it in buckets for the plants? omg. like i dont have enough to do.

there has been soooo much development around that property in the last 10 years.
do you think has had any impact on the water table.
there use to be that huge flood plain and now it is all track town houses which means they have to drain it all.
maybe that water use to help your well and is now going straight to the bay?

na, my parents well is still pumpin strong. Im not sure there is a major crisis at the moment here in town, but we get pamphlets and stuff about conserving. I just feel bad watching all that water go down the drain each day. aah well.. whats a girl to do! thanks for the resources adam!
