habitot

Ok, this week has been wonderful.
I LOVE this place..... know why? they have a train table for the kids to play with while you eat!!! oh, and the food is good too! they have bomb ass cookies, salads, sandwiches, coffee, tacos, burritos...you name it!

Yesterday Juniper spent the night with her baba lorinda, so i wanted to take avery somewhere cool. it was raining..
i had been wanting to go here forever..its called habitot in Berkeley

by the way...I want to move to berkeley. sigh*
not everyone looked the same. i didnt feel like anyone was looking at my hairy legs. So many of the kids were of different ethnicities. parents of all different ages, and they were so friendly and cool.
you could tell a lot of people let their kids dress themselves. there were a lot of mismatched little ones running around.

One of the play area's was a recycling center, where you put on hard hats and transport bottles and cans onto conveyer belts and place them in the appropriate bins. LOVE IT!!!

ya know, i love p-town, its just that , sometimes, i dont feel like i fit in around here.
Berkeley seems like a perfect balance between city life and snooty suburbia. You have good food, cool stores, old cute houses, fun kids activities..EVERYONE rides their bikes. I mean..it was raining and people were still riding their bikes all over the place with their kids! Im the only person ive ever seen ride their bike to drop off/pick up my kids at school.
Whenever i read about some cool place in the East Bay Parenting magazine, you can bet its in Berkeley/oakland. coffeeshops that are catered to mom's and their kids (tumble and tea cafe, PriPri), little kid museums, art places, etc etc...
dude, i swear, i could make a billion dollars opening up a place like that around here.

hmmm...anyways...just rambling now.

do it- Berk is a great place. It is right in the middle and a little to the left. And a whole lot closer to me.

You don't fit in Lori, that's why Pleasanton needs you. ANd that's why most of us love you and what makes you special/unique/lovable. If everyone fit into the Pleasanton mold.........Ugh! Let's bring a little Berekley home!
