Listening to juniper singing this song in her darling little voice over and over again in the car was like heaven on earth.


And avery was so happy to see thomas on candy cane lane he undid his seatbelt and nearly jumped out the window. "i take picture mommy! take picture!!" ha haa. thats my boy.

a day in the life

It was 53 degrees in my house this morning! brrr!!!

on thursdays we make hot chocolate and drink it in the "big room" instead of the kitchen (htis is a big deal! ha ha) This has become the only day of the week where we dont have to get up and get ready for something. its my favorite day.

The kids wake up fighting over who gets to turn on the xmas tree, who gets to watch what on tv, who gets to let the dog back in.

anywyas...heres a peacefull moment. HOt chocolate with bunny shaped mini marshmallows and cartoons will do that to a kid..for a moment at least so i can take a shower..



junipers new xmas skirt. shes been wearing it everyday. i honestly didnt even think she would like it. these days she doesnt like anything without a rainbow or glitter on it.


We finally got to meet baby Alinea !!
shes absolutely darling...
3 weeks old...




and heres another batch of pollywogs. juniper brought some to school for her classroom. the kids were stoked!

no sign of our emerging moth .the crysalis still moves when you touch it though. aaahh. creeppy little thing.
"Mom! MOm! can i play with the crysalis? please!?"
(I will add this to my list of things i never thought id hear)
