at one point, a huge gust of wind came up and everyones umbrellas turned inside out! it was so funny! I literally thought all the tiny kids were going to blow over.

SIX

my baby boy was born SIX YEARS AGO today! I really cannot believe that he can possibly be that old.

BaBa and PaPa brought bagels for breakfast, and we opened a couple little gifts.

As we layered ourselves up this morning for the stormy walk to school, Juniper finally confessed that she is embarrassed to wear her rain coat because it has care bears on it.
My heart ached a tad, and thought... it wont be long before she wont want to hold my hand on the way to school.

 I looked up to take a mental picture of Avery skipping in his darling frog rain coat ahead of us...
Soaking in these fleeting moments... knowing it wont be long before he too will be aware of the clothes he is wearing, the tv shows he likes, the kind of shoes everyone has...
For now, these things dont matter to him.
Man, they grow up way too fast!!

Happy birthday my little man. You light up my heart. I love you more than words can express.

I never was good at math.... im stumped on #2

yowzers

I could blog till the cows come home about my week!
But, I have too many photo jobs to work on . my own photos will just have to wait. =(

It was a marvelous week, despite the fact I had to work almost every day while jeni was here, we managed to fit in a ton of fun inbetween.
 Shawnee and I had our biggest job yet this last week. A preschool with 280 kids!!!! It was a total success! And we had our first "family photo night". 30 families signed up. pretty rockin.

Which, leaves me absolutely exhausted today. the whirlwind is over. time to go back to reality.

 after work late friday night.. I met up with pammy and jeni at the rose hotel, where we pretended we were fancy folk. it was our mini Staycation.
I drank champagne in the massive bubble bath, danced, jumped on the bed,  ate a marvelous breakfast.
basked in the warm sun on the balcony looking out on Main st while drinking coffee with two of my bestest friends in the world. ya, doesnt get much better than that.

we talked about all the things we should do and far away places we should go, but .. in the end..

all we really needed were a couple chairs, some sunshine, and eachother.

just sippin some concannon port remenising about the incredible week I had. full of amazing time. beautiful friendships, lots of wine, birthdays, bubbles, food....
aaah im going to bed with happy thoughts, five extra pounds, and an aching heart. i miss my jen jen already!

"snow"

The forecast called for snow in the bay area. Well, I never trust those weather forecast peeps... always gettin my hopes up or down. either way, they are rarely accurate. Trust me, i Know.. my business is very dependent on the forecast in these "long" and "trying" months of winter. 

We took off up the mountain to visit my grandma (shes at 2000 feet . woohoo!) and had a wonderful day.

On the way up, we spotted bits of snow on the trees. Kids screamed and squeeled with every speck. 

My mom said "you'd think they've never seen snow before"  

And we both agreed how awesome it was to be excited about stuff (& if you have met my mom and seen her in action.. say at a tide pool.. you know what im talking about, and you know where i get it from, ..her)

OH, how i love enthusiasm. I think its a dying personality trait. dont hold back people. its ok to be excited! lets not lose our sense of excitement on this crazy path called life.

OH, how i love him. craziness and all. 

after all, he is my child. he is so "me" .

he will do great amazing things with all that energy. .. i just know it.
